If the account you’re using from your home institution/company is a Microsoft Work or School account, in order to see the MFA methods that you have set up for use when authenticating to Sheffield Hallam services you need to perform the following steps:
  1. Sign in to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ using your normal home institution/company credentials.
  2. Select the profile badge for you (circle, top right – this could be your initials or a profile photo), and select “Switch organisation” to sign in to the Sheffield Hallam University tenancy.
  3. From the menu on the left hand side, select “Security info” – you may be presented with an MFA prompt if you already have methods configured
  4. Once on this page you should see options to add a sign-in method and to delete existing methods

If you are unable to get to the “Security info” page because you’ve lost or replaced a device you used for signing in to Sheffield Hallam University services then please contact our IT Service Desk.
