Loaning Equipment from the Disabled Student Support Service
 

We have a small stock of equipment available for loan to disabled students:

We have laptops available for students who are still waiting for their Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs). 

We have equipment available for students with a hearing impairment:

• Radio aids to loan while waiting for equipment via DSAs.

• Deaf Alerters for use in university buildings during a student’s course.

How do I loan equipment?

Please contact us via Hallam Help and if you eligible to loan equipment from us we will contact you to arrange an appointment.

What about digital recorders?

We still have a small number of digital recorders available for loan, but for most cases we recommend using Genio instead. You can get access to Genio by attending an online group session or (for disabled students only) by requesting a 1-1 appointment.
