What is Study Goal?

Study Goal is Sheffield Hallam University's tool for recording learning analytics data. It is developed by Jisc and integrated with the university’s central system, Jisc Learning Analytics. It combines digital footprint data from university systems with grades and academic history to support student learning and enhance engagement.

All undergraduate and postgraduate students must use Study Goal to record their attendance at taught sessions. Academic Advisers, Student Support Advisers, and other university staff use the data in Jisc Learning Analytics to provide tailored support to students.

Access to the data is limited to the student, their Academic Adviser, and select support staff, in accordance with the University's Learning Analytics Code of Practice.

Study Goal can be accessed using the following link: https://student.la.jisc.ac.uk.
