This article applies to you if you have the recommendation 'adjustments to practical assessments’ in your Learning Contract. Please note that although Disabled Student Support have made the recommendation based on your disability, it is important you communicate with teaching staff to ensure adjustments to practicals can be accommodated within the learning outcomes of the assessment/activity.


There are many adjustments that could be applied to practical assessments.


They could include:

  • changes in the preparation stages
  • assistance with moving
  • changes to the physical environment, written materials or timings

This learning contract recommendation has been based on your disability and not your course.  You should contact staff on your course to discuss and agree adjustments for your practical assessments.
