OVERSEAS VISITORS POLICE REGISTRATION information from South Yorkshire Police

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME AS A STUDENT IN THE UK and you have a requirement to register with the police

You must do so within 7 days of arriving in the UK

Once on the website you will need to follow the instructions to create an account. You will then be asked to input relevant personal information and finally choose an appointment date, time and venue to collect your police registration certificate

Please note that you will be asked to provide details from your passport, BRP card (or home office letter), CAS letter, which shows your course title and dates, as well as your UK address. You will also need to bring these to your appointment.

We cannot complete your registration without your passport!

When completing your on line registration you will also be asked to upload a passport style photo of yourself

What to do if you already have a Police Registration certificate?

You will need to update your certificate with any changes, such as new visa details, new address, new studies, new passport OR transferring from another city to Sheffield

Go to the http://www.southyorkshire.police.uk/, follow instructions to help and advice - overseas visitor's registration section and complete the relevant form -

Print a copy of this form and take it to

along with your passport, BRP card, CAS statement and tenancy agreement, where the enquiry desk staff will update your police registration certificate
