Seminar Change Requests for semester / trimester 1 21/22
There are certain situations where you may be able to request to change your seminar group. For an example, if you have an;
- Ongoing caring commitments including Student Carers
- Medical reasons such as regular routine appointments for chronic conditions
- Sporting commitments (elite level)
- Student rep activities, on-going throughout the semester/year
- Other exceptional circumstances (case by case merit). Refer to Extenuating Circumstances Policy and Procedure for further guidance
Even if your situation falls under one of these categories, while we will make every reasonable effort to make a change, but it is very important that you understand we cannot guarantee your change request will be accepted due to clashes with your existing timetable or there is no further space to accommodation addition students to that group.
To enquire if it is possible to change seminar groups, please complete the seminar change request form by clicking on the relevant department link below.
If you do make a request, we may wish to discuss your circumstances with you in detail, in order to reach a shared understanding of the constraints and options.
For standard undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, all requests should submitted before the Thursday of the 2nd week of teaching to ensure that you do not miss too much teaching with the new group.
The deadline for Semester 1 requests is the Wednesday 06 October 2021 at 11.59pm.
Please note any requests received after the deadline date will be declined.
