You and your dependants may be able to extend your visas with the help of a specialist adviser in the International Experience Team. You must contact us at least 3 months before your visa is due to expire to book a short appointment to check whether you are eligible to apply from inside the UK. To book an appointment, please attend a drop in session with an adviser and they will book you in. The link to the drop in can be gained by completing this UniHub form: unihub.shu.ac.uk/Form.aspx?id=1105635. Drop in takes place each weekday from 11-12 and 2-3pm.

At this initial meeting, our advisers will:

  • check that you are eligible to apply for a visa extension
  • issue a CAS request form for you to complete and return
  • explain which documents you will need to extend your visa
  • send you an information leaflet with the link to the visa application form

Once we have established that you are eligible to extend your stay in the UK, we will offer a second appointment to check your application and documents when you have everything ready and are able to make the application online. During the second appointment we will help you pay and upload your documents.national visa visa visa visa visa visa visa visa visa international
